2. Counterfeit Detection Methods
Composition Testing: Use a spectrometer to verify Cu (0.2%-0.4%) and Cr (0.5%-1.25%) content. A rapid test involves applying stainless steel identifier solution; no color change within 3 minutes indicates authenticity.
Rust Layer Inspection: Genuine plates exhibit dense, uniform rust adhering firmly to the base, while fake products show loose or artificially applied rust.
Document Verification: Cross-check the mill certificate's serial number with plate markings and ensure logical consistency in specifications (e.g., Q355NH, GB/T 4171).
